George Hanley is a serial entrepreneur, investor and philanthropist. Currently, he is the Founder and Manager of TFH Partners, a private investment firm focused on emerging technology, real estate and sustainable food companies, and also a Principle of R2 Companies. Spending more than 40 years in the trading business, George is known for founding Hanley Group and engaging as a member of the Chicago Board of Trade and Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Along with his wife Amanda, he is the CoFounder and a Director of the Hanley Foundation, created to advance transformative educational, environmental and empowerment solutions. George is a graduate of the University of Dayton, where he currently serves as a Trustee and Chair of the Investment Committee. Among other contributions there, he established the Hanley Trading Center, launched the Hanley Sustainability Institute and took part in the board’s decision to divest fossil fuels from the school’s endowment, the first Catholic university to take this action. As an investor, George has become a leader in the impact investing movement. He has presented at the University of Dayton, Loyola University, University of Illinois, NYU and Notre Dame.
